integration, and analysis, we leverage extensive experience in aerial surveys to deliver high-quality geospatial data, including advanced imagery, point clouds, hyperspectral, thermal, and video airborne mapping. Our solutions cater to a diverse client base, including midstream utilities, engineering firms, and environmental assessment projects.

By delivering high-resolution point clouds and orthoimagery that surpass client expectations, we enable accurate land base data critical for safe and efficient pipeline operations. Building on this robust foundation, we provide analytic solutions such as structure classification, vegetation characterization, encroachment analysis, terrain hazard detection, emergency response data, greenfield surveys, and environmental evaluations to ensure the integrity and safety of oil and gas infrastructure.

This image shows a pipeline right-of-way (ROW) inspection conducted using drone aerial photography, aimed at identifying potential risks and supporting subsequent operations and maintenance.
A drone equipped with a visible light module captures post-wildfire orthophotos to document the affected area and support damage assessment.
From crossing wires to unauthorized tool sheds to trailers, Quantum Spatial can identify encroachments in the built environment. QSI will identify and classify built structures and other human-caused physical encroachments that may limit a utility’s access to or safe operation of their pipelines.
Pipeline right-of-way (ROW) management focuses on identifying and addressing factors that may impact the pipeline system. By analyzing spatial data, we can locate and assess potential risks, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pipeline. ROW management also supports regulatory compliance and helps optimize maintenance strategies for long-term sustainability.
LiDAR modeling uncovers subtle surface features not detectable through aerial photos or field observation, enriching topographic models. After semi-automated terrain hazard identification, all areas undergo rigorous quality control by staff geologists. Landslide risks are reported and combined with asset data to prioritize mitigation efforts.
System-wide elevation measurements along pipeline tops can
detect pipes deflecting beyond established tolerances with high
accuracy. Annual surveys track movement, aiding in planning and
prioritizing mitigation efforts. Mapping above-ground oil pipelines
and conducting integrity analysis can identify supports sinking or
shifting due to freeze/thaw cycles or terrain movements.
UAVisus Technology Limited collects high-density airborne LiDAR data,
comparing horizontal support members (HSMs) to client pipeline
databases. Vectors are created in Bentley MicroStation for each
HSM identified in the LiDAR point cloud, and the tilt angle is
calculated to identify structures at risk of causing pipeline failure
due to frost heave or permafrost thaw.
We provide agricultural insurance services supported by drone-based visual assessments. Captured on August 7, 2024, the image shows a wildlife-damaged field with an affected area of 8.284 acres. The blue-shaded region indicates a wildlife trail. Based on the extent of the damage, the field can be classified as a total or partial loss, enabling insurance providers to offer appropriate compensation.
